So, what inspired Tracey?
After undergoing four operations, Tracey was unhappy about her weight. Having any kind of medical procedure can take its toll on the body and require weeks or even months of recuperation. After the last operation, Tracy decided to lose weight. “I was sick of looking at myself and feeling fat,” she said.

It’s common for weight loss to take weeks – or even months to become noticeable, but in Tracey’s case, it took just seven days. So, what did she do to transform her lifestyle and develop healthier habits?
1 – She drank more water
Tracey started drinking more water as part of her weight loss efforts. Adequate hydration is essential for the body to function at it’s best, and crucial for losing weight. Without enough water in your system, it’s impossible to break down stored fat. So, even if you’re doing everything else right in terms of diet and exercise, dehydration can sabotage your efforts.

Aim to drink 8 glasses each day and carry a water bottle with you to work or college so you have a constant reminder to drink more.
2 – She ditched the snacks
According to Tracey, she also stopped snacking between meals. Many of us reach for unhealthy treats like cookies or chips to keep us going throughout the day. Sometimes this is because we’re not eating enough at mealtimes. Other times it’s related to feelings such as boredom, stress, or sadness.
Whatever the reason, keeping your snacking habits in check can make a huge difference to the number of calories you consume each day.
